- Surveyed the potential sources of biodegradable plastic materials that could be used in one of the company's major consumer products. Because the product is often composted, along with it's packaging material, in many European countries, the company was interested in determining if there were any substitute materials available that, while maintaining product performance, exhibited more rapid biodegradation under composting conditions than the material currently used.
